About Us

Tsala ya Africa means „Friend of Africa“.
What began as a spontaneous fundraiser for school fees in 2014 has now developed into a deep German-South African partnership.

Education and permaculture for sustainable development in rural South Africa

In close cooperation with local partners, we develop projects that impart knowledge, strengthen decision-making and action-taking skills, and promote social and ecological resilience — through practical educational opportunities, permaculture, and long-term financial support.

Community Empowerment

We support rural communities in strengthening their social and economic structures independently — through education, participation, and targeted support.

Sustainable Agriculture

We promote climate-adapted farming methods based on permaculture to ensure food security and ecological resilience in rural regions.

Long-Term Educational Opportunities

We provide access to education throughout life — from kindergarten to vocational training.

Rural Development

By expanding educational opportunities and promoting sustainable food systems, we are strengthening the supply chains and quality of life in rural regions.
